Malcolm confidently steps onstage, ready to take the audience by storm with his hip-hop moves. However, he is forced to change things up when his music suddenly starts changing to different genres.

This short was fully animated in Maya and rendered with Arnold. The poster design was created in Photoshop. Sound effects and music were added with After Effects.

Norman struggles with lifting the tiny dumbbell at the gym--with hilarious results.

Reference footage was acted out and utilized to create this short. The dumbbells, wall, and floor were modeled in Maya, and the poster design and storyboard were made using Photoshop. Sound effects and music were added in After Effects. Rendered using Arnold in Maya.

"Curiosity the Detective Cat"

2D Animated Short

Curiosity is a struggling detective in Barkington City when he spots his big chance. An expensive ring has been stolen from the museum, and it is up to him to find the thief and gain recognition for his sleuthing skills!​

This short film is fully animated in Toon Boom Harmony. The character rig was puppeted by me. Its design was adapted from the player character created for my "The Cat Burglar" 2D Unity game, changing the character from a sly thief into a "good guy" detective. Sounds and music were added with After Effects, and the animatic storyboard and character turnaround were made using Toon Boom Harmony.

Jasmine walks out of the lunchroom just as the bell rings for the next class to begin. As everyone rushes out of sight, a mess is left in the hallway, and Jasmine is forced to use her parkour skills to make it to class on time.​

Reference footage was utilized to create this sequence. Simple posters in the background were designed by me in Photoshop. Sound effects and music added with After Effects. Not rendered.

Mery is nervously being interrogated by policewoman Bonnie...that is, she would be if she could find a place to sit down!

Project submitted as part of the 11 Second Club November 2019 Competition and was ranked in the top 75 submissions.

The entire animation was created in Maya, and dialogue added in After Effects. I also made the animatic storyboard using Toon Boom Harmony. Not rendered.

2D Character Puppeting

Gizmo the cheerful robot is trying to keep the earth green!​

As part of a three-person team, I was responsible for converting the artwork into a character rig, ready for animation. I separated the art files in Photoshop and exported them into Toon Boom Harmony, where I puppeted the character's joints and limbs. Other team members were responsible for the artwork, animating the character, and adding the sound effects.
