"Character Rig"
Original 3D Character Model
An original character design that I adapted from my "Rites of the Lights" novel and video game project. Prince Iseul is one of the few possessors of the Blue Aurashards--the gems on his arms that give him the ability to control water.
I created this 3D model for the final project for a 3D modeling and texturing course. I created the initial body mesh in Adobe Fuse and exported it into Maya to use as a base for my model. Using the quad draw tool, I made a lower poly version of the character and also modeled his hair and clothing. I also created his brows and eyelashes using xGen. I textured all of the meshes in Substance Painter, primarily using hand-painting to create his eyes and robe.

"Country Interior"
3D Environment Design
A country home living room interior with gentle afternoon lighting.
The goal of this project was to practice environment modeling by creating a realistic room or interior. I modeled the furniture in Maya, utilizing references in the design and scaling of the pieces. Next, I textured them in Substance Painter and then rendered the scene using the Arnold 5 renderer in Maya. To create the textures for the images in the picture frames, I used artwork and photos I designed/edited for past assignments, along with a personal photo of myself in the small photo frame.

"Beachside Lighthouse"
Hard-Surface Modeling
A lighthouse model shown during both day and night with the moon overhead.
The goal of this project was to practice hard-surface modeling. I modeled the lighthouse and moon meshes in Maya using images of a physical lighthouse model for reference. I also textured the objects in Substance Painter and rendered them using the Arnold 5 renderer in Maya.
